Pasay City East High School and its Faculty Club led by its Pres. ,Mr. Matteo Obias, held a special tribute for Ms. Rosemary Castillo, TLE-HE teacher as she finally reached the zenith of her teaching career.
The tribute started with a prayer, the singing of the National Anthem then Pasay Hymn.
Hosted by Ms. Jocelyn S. Cruz (as requested) and Mr. Rouel Santero , the event was filled with fun and laughter as they reminisced all the happy and fun-filled memories of Ms. Castillo both as a teacher and a friend.
TLE – HE Department with Mrs. Fe Lo, Head Teacher VI sang the favorite song of the retiree, “Guhit ng Palad” followed by a video presentation which was a compilation of the good old days spent by the retiree with friends, family, and co-educators.
The message of love from Mrs. Erlinda Miao, former TLE-HE Department Head (also a retiree) made the tribute heart-warming and nostalgic as Mrs. Erlinda Miao shared the happy, fun, and sad memories they had together.
One of the daughters of the retiree left the audience teary-eyed. “She is the most amazing mother for us. Her love for us is unequaled. She did a great sacrifice in taking care and sending all of us to school all by herself .Given the chance to live again, I still want this woman to be my mother.”, Stephanie proudly quipped.
The retiree, Ate rose to everyone, proudly and lovingly thanked everyone for the celebration which she called a gift. “Gusto ko Masaya ang pag reretire ko kaya hindi tayo iiyak dapat.”
She will be leaving for the United States this October 1, 2019 and promise to spend a vacation that every retiree dreams of.
The retiree received her Plaque of Recognition and Appreciation followed by the giving of flowers and gifts from teachers and friends. By: Helen G. Dimafelix
