Remedial reading teacher showcases ICT integration in teaching reading comprehension in reading class

Jesusa A. Petalio, a remedial reading teacher for fifteen years of Pasay City East High School demonstrated and showcased ICT integration in teaching reading comprehension in reading class during the training workshop “The Capability—Enhancement of Remedial Teachers on Instructional Literacy in Teaching Reading” held in Tagaytay International Convention Center (TICC) on August 31, 2019.
She effectively used the direct response thinking activity (DRTA) and fishbowl strategy in attaining the learning competencies which were read intensively to answer specific questions and perform actively in a group task.
The learners actively participated in the discussion with the teacher simplified the questions and guided her remedial readers in expressing themselves.
During the post demonstration, Mr. Librado F. Torres, Chief EPS Curriculum Implementation Division, commended that it was an excellent demonstration teaching of a remedial teacher.
