April 2, 2018 marked the momentous event for the completers and the graduates of Batch 2018 of Pasay City East High School as the 3rd Moving Up Ceremonies and the First Senior High School Commencement Exercises were held back to back in Cuneta Astrodome .
Both events had one theme:” K to 12 Learners: Ready to Face Life’s Challenges”. Mr. Peter R. Cannon Jr., Principal III, reminded the completers and the graduates to” use, utilize ,apply , and ,maximize the knowledge earned, lessons learned , skills acquired and values imbued in preparation for their next journey.”
3rd Moving Up Ceremonies commenced at 2pm with the processional of the guests, faculty and candidates for completion followed by the entrance of colors led by the Boy Scouts while SHS Commencement Exercises started at around 5pm.
Ms. Neriza SM Tugadi , Teacher Conductress led The National Anthem and Pasay City Hymn with Ms. Sonia R. Baes in the Piano while the Invocation was led by Mrs. Analyn . Dorado , OIC Values Education for the two events.
Mr. Peter R. Cannon Jr., Principal III did the Presentation of Candidates for Completion and Dr. Evangeline P. Ladines, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent confirmed the completion.
Likewise for the SHS Commencement Exercises, Mr. Cannon proudly did the Presentation of Candidates for Graduation and Attestation of Satisfactory Completion of Requirements for Graduation and Dr. Ladines for the Confirmation of Graduates.
Completers went on stage for the distribution of certificates of completion followed by the awarding of medals to 65 completers With Honors and 1 With High Honors ( Jaben O. Paragsa ) .
From the SHS, three graduates “With High Honors” ( All C. Tomo, Arzenith Joyce Naoe and Anngelica Barcelona) received medals together with the 47 graduates “With Honors.
