Junior and Senior Girl Scouts from the Division of Pasay spent quality time in an  overnight camping in Apelo Cruz Elementary School last Feb. 22 – 23, 2019.

Pasay City East High School’s 15 Senior Girl Scouts joined the camping  together with the other Junior and Senior Scouts from the different elementary and secondary schools in the division.

For their first night, the scouts were excited and jubilant as they built their makeshift camp within the school compound highlighted by the campfire symbolizing   unity and camaraderie in leadership.

In the camp, scouts engaged in  physical fitness workout before the  plenary activities which included lectures on taekwondo, bracelet making and shirt printing.

Mrs. Ma. Teodora  Lanuza , from PCEHS, facilitated the bracelet making  session and Mrs. Charlene Otazu, from PCNSHS, lectured about  shirt printing. Both are Troop Leaders.

“The camping activities  prepare girl scouts toward becoming stewards of environment , better problem solvers, and challenge seekers in the 21st  Century Leadership.”

Girls had fun in  spending quality time with the campers and troop leaders while taking the challenge in building their skills and leadership potentials in the whole duration of the camping adventure.  By : HGDimafelix
